The United States at 250 Years: A View from the Centennial President In-Person
Join Ken Serfass, a living history storyteller and retired Gunner Sgt. USMC, for a presentation featuring our Centennial President, Ulysses S. Grant. In 1876, Grant officially opened the Centennial Exposition and first World's Fair held in the U.S. He will speak passionately about our nation's transformation into an industrial giant, the railroad expansion to the west, significant technological developments of the time including electricity and the telephone, as well as other accomplishments of our nation.
