Become a Licensed Radio Technician In-Person

Bounce a radio signal off the moon. Download images from the International Space Station. Report significant weather events. Assist local emergency communications. It's all possible with an Amateur Radio Technician license. Experienced South Mountain Radio Amateurs Club instructors teach this 7-week course and course materials are provided free of charge. Attendees who pass the FCC license exam ($35 FCC fee) will receive a handheld radio and instruction on how to use it. Attendees under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
