What's Going to Become of Mom? In-Person
Providing help to aging family members who need assistance should be easy, but it isn’t. Join Glen Dunbar, Social Gerontologist and college professor, in this series of roundtables covering the basics of elder care and providing an opportunity for sharing firsthand experiences in a non-judgmental way. The sessions are suitable for both caregivers and potential care recipients. Topics for discussion include:
December 9: Tips for being the caregiver of a loved one with dementia.
January 13: In-home help, including types of support, costs, and how to choose good providers.
February 10: Normal cognitive changes and how to compensate for them.
