Tales for TAILS

Tales for TAILS In-Person

Looking for a friendly, cuddly, and attentive listener? Join us for Tales for Tails where children read out loud to trained therapy dogs. This program will now meet on the fourth Thursday of every month.

Tales for T.A.I.L.S. (Therapy Animals Increase Literacy Skills) is an effective and fun way to improve children's reading and communication skills with the assistance of registered pet therapy teams as literacy mentors. The child reads to the pet as the pet quietly sits or lies close by. The child is encouraged to pet, engage, and connect with the pet.

Ages: Grades K-5. Parents must remain at the library while their child attends Tales for TAILS!
