The Mifflin Farm: A Place of Courage, Conflict, and Conscience In-Person
Join us for the Friends of the New Cumberland Library's Cultural Series event. This month's event features a Black History Month presentation as Peter Miele of the Susquehanna National Heritage Area discusses the fascinating history of the Mifflin Home and Farm in Wrightsville, York County, a place where courageous freedom seekers, escaping the brutality of bondage, found refuge. When the property was threatened in the early 2000s, the community rallied and saved this treasure, and it is now the Susquehanna Discovery Center & Heritage Park.
